EMDR for the effective treatment of trauma.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapeutic approach helping people who are struggling to cope with trauma, anxiety, depression and other emotional difficulties. It is an evidence based treatment that has been approved by NICE (National Institute for Clinical Excellence) and ISTSS (International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies). EMDR is helpful for a range of traumatic experiences which may include distressing incidents such as serious accidents, violence, sexual abuse and childhood attachment difficulties.
