Profile:

As an Europe Accredited EMDR Consultant and Clinical Supervisor, as well as a Systemic Family Psychotherapist, I aim to offer therapy and supervision that privileges personal experience within the cultural and social context. I originally trained and worked as a generic social worker and have 10 years experience in adoption and fostering. I have also worked as a clinical therapist in a residential therapeutic treatment centre in California for one year. For over 25 years I worked in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services as a therapist, supervisor and manager. My special interests lie in working with people affected by traumatic experiences. I have also been working in independent practice since 2015 with adults and young people, and since 2018 as an EMDR consultant/ clinical supervisor to a range of Mental Health professionals. I have undertaken freelance work with The Post Adoption Centre pursuing a career long interest in adoption. I have also undertaken specific training in “Attachment Informed EMDR” which is an approach which I find extremely beneficial. For 7 years I enjoyed working as a a Professional Advisor/ Consultant to Young Minds Parent Helpline.
